Job Summary
Provide the highest quality service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner by receiving and delivering orders and collecting payment. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all employees and guests while listening to and clarifying their concerns. Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines, maintaining regular attendance and compliance with hotel standards and regulations. Approach all encounters with an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented attitude, ensuring proper uniform and grooming while maximizing productivity and solving problems as necessary. Work flexible and long hours, sometimes requiring the ability to stand for entire shifts and maneuver throughout the dining area carrying full trays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- High School diploma or equivalent
- experience in a hotel or a related field
- Flexible and long hours
- Medium work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food & beverages
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
