Job Summary
Collect eggs from tables and floors, grade, clean, and record egg numbers; weigh feed and birds; change nest pads, dust nests, and maintain egg room cleanliness. House birds in designated pens, load them for processing, and mow grounds. Inspect flock health by weighing birds weekly, sanitize breakrooms and equipment, and euthanize sick birds per policy. Perform heavy lifting, stooping, and driving vehicles within the farm complex while adhering to strict biosecurity and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months
- If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months
- Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months
- Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines
- Must use safe lifting techniques
- Must regularly stoop/bend over to floor level to collect eggs up to 300 times per shift
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds to move items such as feed buckets, tools, and trash can
- Must regularly push or pull up to 500 lbs (wheeled feed cart)
- Must be able to stand majority of shift on multiple floor surfaces (i.e. concrete floor, shavings)
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects and controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to balance
- Must be able to climb/ladder usage
- Must be able to stoop/bend up to 1000 times per day
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to drive a vehicle within the farm complex
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision

- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must be able to safely operate a vehicle to and from work area
- Must be able to work on wet, slippery surfaces
- Must be able to work in hot, dry, extreme dusty, wet and cold environments
- Must wear Safety glasses
- Must wear Safety goggles
- Must wear face shield
- Must wear chemical gloves
- Must wear waterproof apron
- Must wear company issued footwear
- Must wear Ear plugs as needed
- Must wear N95 particulate respirators as needed
- Must follow all applicable safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks
Desired Qualifications
