Job Summary
Collect eggs from the egg table and floor, grade, clean, and distribute them according to Cobb standards while recording daily production numbers. Weigh feed, handle birds, and weigh birds on schedule; change and clean nest pads, dust nests, and maintain the egg room. House birds in designated pens, load them for processing, and mow/weedeat grounds on the farm. Inspect birds weekly for quality and progress, sanitize breakrooms and equipment, and euthanize weak or ill birds per company policy. Wednesday through Sunday shifts from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm with a starting pay of $18.00 per hour plus shift differentials. Applicants must reside in the United States and have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months
- If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months
- Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months
- Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days
- Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods
- Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines
- Must use safe lifting techniques
- Must regularly stoop/bend over to floor level to collect eggs up to 300 times per shift
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds to move items such as feed buckets, tools, and trash can
- Must regularly push or pull up to 500 lbs (wheeled feed cart)
- Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also work in hot, dry, extreme dusty, wet and cold environments
- Safety glasses

- Company issued footwear
- Ear plugs
- Safety glasses will be used as needed
- NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed
- Must follow all applicable safety policies and procedures
- Must identify, address and mitigate safety related risks
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred
