Job Summary
QA at Cobb-Vantress Hatchery: test and inspect quality at all stages of chick processing; evaluate hatchery outgoing quality to meet chick quality standards. Key duties include weighing and checking chick quality hourly, counting by-product, verifying robots/injects, assisting in vaccine mixing/training and weekly vaccine inventory, entering hatch summaries, and compiling statistical data. Must follow biosecurity/animal welfare guidelines, operate in a physical, production-floor environment, and adapt to shifts. Prior agricultural/production experience preferred; starting wage is $18.00/hour with shift differentials; benefits include health/dental/vision from day 1, disability, 401(k), and other perks.
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in the United States
- At least six consecutive months of work experience with the same employer
- No additional employment gaps greater than six months in the last 36 months
- Experience in agricultural or production settings preferred
- Willing to work a schedule including early mornings and variable hours based on production needs
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 12 pounds and repetitive tasks
- Must be able to comply with biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines
