Job Summary
Splice, balance, activate, and troubleshoot forward and reverse signal paths for new coax construction and BAU projects, optimizing nodes and utilizing TDRs for .625 and .875 coax sizes. Track and report daily work via digital methods, email, and Excel. Operate aerial lift bucket trucks and ladders safely within public right-of-way, adhering to PPE requirements and DOT physical standards. Ability to work regularly outdoors in various weather conditions and occasionally be on-call for after-hours emergency work. Located in Asheville, NC, this role supports broadband services for major cable providers across the Southeast.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- 3+ years of experience
- knowledge and proper safe usage of Aerial lift Bucket Trucks
- ability to use ladders
- ability to climb/hook
- ability to safely work within Public Right-of-way
- proper use and knowledge of applicable PPE
- ability to use a TDR
- ability to effectively communicate with others
- ability to work within a team environment
- ability to read and understand technical instruction
- Valid Driver's license
- ability to pass a background check
- ability to pass a drug test
- ability to work regularly outdoors in different weather types
- ability to occasionally be On-Call for after-hours emergency work
- ABLE TO PASS A DOT PHYSICAL
