Coating Applicator- Apprentice

The Coating Applicator Apprentice is an entry-level, hands-on role that trains individuals to learn the industrial coatings trade. Responsibilities include assisting with surface preparation (pressure washing, sanding, grinding, masking), helping set up and clean coating equipment and job-site materials, learning coating application with brush, roller, or spray under supervision, mixing coatings per specifications, following safety procedures and PPE requirements, assisting with environmental monitoring (dew point, temperature, humidity), maintaining an organized work area, participating in safety meetings and logs, and demonstrating reliability and a willingness to learn. Career development includes on-the-job training toward Coating Application Specialist (CAS) certification and potential progression to journeyman and certified roles; benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with match, paid training, overtime and per diem, and PTO.
