Job Summary

Blast media, prep, prime, and top coat piping and vessels using roller and spray gun techniques. Install industrial insulation on pipes, tanks, and equipment ranging from 1/2" OD up to 48" OD and larger, utilizing fiberglass, calcium silicate, urethane, cellular glass, and expanded perlite. Fabricate and install metal jacketing on tees, elbows, reducers, and straight runs, including cutting metal for vessel heads. Operate manlifts, forklifts, and trucks while adhering to all safety rules, PPE requirements, and quality processes. Direct other employees to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met. Clean work areas daily and participate in safety meetings. Requires 3+ years of industrial insulator experience; no sponsorship available.

Required Qualifications

  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
  • Must be able to blast media, prep, prime, top coat (roller and spray gun)
  • Must have a minimum of one plus (3 +) years' experience as an industrial insulator
  • Must have experience in blast media, prep, prime, top coat (roller and spray gun)
  • The employee must be capable of directing the other employees that will be associated with this job to assure that safety, quality and production are achieved
  • The employee must be willing to be trained on lifts, and any other equipment that is used on the job site. This training will require testing and the issuance of certification cards by Wood
