Job Summary

Blast media, prep, prime, and top coat piping and equipment using roller and spray gun techniques. Install industrial insulation on pipes, vessels, and tanks ranging from 1/2" OD to 48" OD and up, utilizing materials such as fiberglass, calcium silicate, urethane, and cellular glass. Fabricate and install removable insulated blankets and metal jacketing on piping and equipment, including tees, reducers, and vessel heads. Select and safely operate appropriate equipment including manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks. Interpret work orders, job orders, and specifications to determine work requirements. Participate in safety meetings, programs, and quality processes while maintaining a clean work area. Direct other employees to ensure safety, quality, and production are achieved.

Required Qualifications

  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
  • Must be able to blast media, prep, prime, top coat (roller and spray gun)
  • Must have a minimum of one plus (3 +) years' experience as an industrial insulator
  • Must have experience in blast media, prep, prime, top coat (roller and spray gun)
  • The employee must be capable of directing the other employees that will be associated with this job to assure that safety, quality and production are achieved
