Job Summary
Coater Operator responsible for safe, quality operation of coating equipment (KBA/Wagner lines) and supporting production in the coating of flat sheets. Performs intermediate-level coating duties, processes/work orders and documentation, assists in diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and maintains line safety, quality checks, housekeeping, and changeovers. Trains stacker & floater to cover absences; supports SAP/Infinity/Shoplogix data entry; collaborates with supervision to ensure material readiness and production targets; operates multiple coating lines (KBA, Wagner, Inghor) and cross-trains on print lines; emphasizes safety and process adherence to maintain quality and production levels.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Read and interpret layout drawings, TDS/SDS for coatings, properly use shop mathematics, ink/color correction & associated software
- Proven understanding of mechanical drives / gears / gearboxes / conveyors and general mechanical application in manufacturing systems
- Must work well in team environment
- Ability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
