Job Summary
Set-up and operate coating machinery, adjusting rollers and micrometer settings to ensure efficient production flow. Maintain proper coating material levels, temperature control, and viscosity checks every half-hour while monitoring tin plate specifications before loading. Instruct and coordinate stacker activities, perform visual defect checks on sheets, and prepare shift production reports. Clean machines, oil equipment, and manage production orders to ensure quality output. Available for 2nd shift, weekends, and holidays with an on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment efficiently
- Must be able to use scale and margin guides
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
- Frequently lift 35 pounds or more
- Stand on feet long periods of time
- Walk often
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
