Job Summary
Prepare surfaces for coating through cleaning, blasting, masking, and inspection. Apply industrial coatings including epoxies, urethanes, zinc-rich systems, and specialty finishes while reading specifications and mixing materials per manufacturer guidelines. Operate spray systems safely, perform quality checks on thickness and finish, complete production documentation, and maintain a clean work environment. Work closely with production and quality teams to meet project deadlines while following all safety policies. Requires 5+ years of industrial painting experience with sandblasting and epoxy expertise. Competitive hourly pay of $30.00–$45.00.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial painting and coating experience
- Proven experience with Sandblasting and surface preparation
- Proven experience with Epoxy coatings
- Proven experience with Polyurethane coatings
- Proven experience with Zinc coating systems
- Strong understanding of coating application processes and quality requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- NACE, AMPP, or equivalent coating certification
- Experience operating King pumps (45:1 and higher)
- Experience operating Conventional and pressure pot systems
- Experience operating Cup guns
- Experience operating Graco XM 70 plural component systems
- Experience operating HPX3 spray equipment
- Forklift certification
- Experience working in structural steel, fabrication, manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial environments
- Experience working around large fabrication equipment, hot/cold bending operations, and confined spaces
