Job Summary
Fall 2026 coaching roles across multiple NY high schools (East Amherst area) for Boys’ JV Football, Varsity Soccer, Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey, Girls’ Varsity Game Day Cheer, Boys’ Modified Football, Varsity Golf, Varsity Soccer, Coed Weight Room, Girls’ Modified/Soccer, Varsity Gymnastics, Varsity Swimming etc. Positions include Assistant Coach, Head Coach, and Coach/Trainer with stipends ranging roughly from $1,000 to $5,600 per season. Requires current NYS Teaching or Coaching Certification (or Temporary Coaching License), DASA/Child Abuse Workshop, First Aid/CPR/AED, and fingerprinting clearance. Certification is required for compensation as an athletic coach per NYS Education Law; volunteers may be considered if uncertified at season start. Responsibilities include coaching assigned sports per district standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a current NYS Teaching Certification or NYS Coaching Certification or NYS Temporary Coaching License
- SAVE, DASA, Child Abuse Workshop, GCN Training
- Current First Aid, CPR & AED
- Fingerprinting clearance
- Certification for compensation as an athletic coach per NYSED regulations
