Job Summary
Coach youth basketball for The J's Summer Jump Start program (Pre-K, ages 4-5). Responsibilities include coaching basketball practices and games on Sundays from 12:00pm-3:00pm during the June 14–July 26 season, teaching basic basketball skills using age-appropriate equipment and progressions, supervising young children, and collaborating with program staff to ensure smooth session flow. Requires ability to engage and Energize a developmentally appropriate environment; experience with young children and knowledge of basketball rules are preferred; reliable transportation and the ability to work Sundays are needed. Compensation provided as $18 per hour session (1–3 sessions each Sunday) with a free individual membership to The J.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with young children (ages 3-6) preferred
- Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
- Knowledge of basketball and its rules
- Ability to create an engaging and energetic environment
- Must have reliable transportation
