Job Summary
Literacy Coach responsible for overseeing the reading program implementation, providing instructional coaching to ELA/Reading classroom teachers to improve reading instruction and student outcomes, developing and conducting staff development, maintaining Hillsborough County Public Schools’ K-12 Comprehensive Evidenced-Based Reading Plan, modeling best practices in literacy instruction, developing professional development for targeted audiences, conducting data conferences to interpret data and plan instruction, assisting with model lesson plans and curriculum, meeting with building administrators for ongoing feedback, engaging in ongoing professional development, and promoting parent/community outreach in the literacy program.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate with Reading Endorsement or Reading Certification required
- Three years of classroom teaching experience with two years of related management or supervisory experience
- Educational Leadership experience preferred
