Job Summary
Lead Orangetheory group workouts for up to 36 participants, delivering high-energy sessions that blend cardio, strength, and power training. Provide real-time exercise corrections and modifications to ensure participant safety, while maintaining studio cleanliness and organization. Help build class attendance and retention through motivation and personal connection, and represent the brand at internal and external marketing events. Stay current with programming by attending monthly team meetings, webinars, and continuing education. This role requires excellent coaching skills, time management, and the ability to motivate diverse fitness levels in a fast-paced group setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current nationally accredited fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, NFPT, NPTI, etc.)
- Current CPR/AED Certification
- Must be physically capable of demonstrating all exercises and lifting up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to actively demonstrate and perform exercises throughout the class
- Ability to remain standing and vocal for the duration of the 60-minute workout
- Frequently required to lift, bend, twist, and move equipment (e.g., dumbbells, TRX, medicine balls, Bosu balls, ab dollies)
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in personal training and/or group fitness instruction
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and functional movement
- Ability to lead, motivate, and adapt training to all fitness levels in real time
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
