Job Summary
Part-time cross-country coach for Junior School (grades 3-7) at Crofton House School. Responsibilities include planning and delivering weekly training to students (grades 3-7), supervising practices and meets, providing mentorship and leadership development for students, collaborating with the Program Coordinator and Athletics teams, following the Athletic Coaches Handbook, coordinating athlete selection input, maintaining open communication with administration and parents, and ensuring student safety and wellbeing. Requires 1+ years of cross-country coaching or similar experience, with awareness of girls' learning styles and strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. On-site role located in Vancouver, BC, Canada; employment is for a fixed-term contract from September 2026 to mid-October 2026, with part-time scheduling (before/after school). Applicants must be able to legally work in Canada. Total compensation available up to $2,000 depending on experience and availability.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience coaching cross country or similar experience
- Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women
- Committed to the standards of professional practice
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to legally work in Canada
