Job Summary
Plan and conduct regular practices focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while instructing student-athletes in sport fundamentals. Manage administrative duties including submitting required paperwork for participation, scheduling non-conference competitions, and handling transportation logistics. Maintain equipment inventory, ensure a safe practice environment, and monitor athlete well-being while communicating concerns to administrators. Adhere to all MIAA and school policies, attend required pre- and post-season meetings, and lead a co-ed varsity or middle school team. This role offers a $1,500 stipend and supports character development alongside athletic success.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and experience leading and organizing a team
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
- Completion of annual Youth Sports Concussion Training Certification
- Successful completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Course
Desired Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school or high school level
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff
