Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Current First Aid/CPR card
• •Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance
• •Appropriate certification as determined by WIAA, the state and the District
• •Knowledge, compliance and commitment to follow WIAA regulations
• •Valid Washington State driver's license or evidence of mobility
• •I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act
• •Completion of all district-required trainings within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date
• •Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• •Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines, make sound decisions, attention to detail, and follow through on a variety of assigned tasks

Desired Qualifications

• •5 years of coaching experience in the K-12 school setting preferred
• •Demonstrate knowledge of fundamentals of the game/sport, practice organization, rules, safety, and game management
• •Ability to organize and supervise a team program
• •Ability to organize and demonstrate skills to athletes
• •Ability to communicate in a positive manner with students, parents, staff, the community, and the media
• •Ability to motivate a variety of individual personalities toward a successful and positive learning/playing experience
• •Ability to analyze the game and to create appropriate training sessions that reflect those observations
• •Allow involvement and decision-making of players and student participants to the degree appropriate
• •Encourage and recognize positive conduct at student activities
• •Model sportsmanlike conduct in dealing with officials and opponents regardless of the circumstances
• •Knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, and usage in both oral and written communication
• •Ability to handle confidential matters and information in a professional manner
• •Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with district staff to enhance the completion of assigned tasks
• •Ability and willingness to upgrade skills to maintain the highest level of efficiency and high-quality work
• •Flexible in learning new concepts, cooperates with others, and adapts to a variety of assignments and conditions
• •Gains the respect and confidence of students, parents, and staff through modeling appropriate demeanor, behavior, and attire
• •Sets and attains high level of expectations with a commitment to using available resources in a way that accomplishment occurs

• •At least 21 years of age preferred
• •Proof of Immunization preferred (if born 1/1/57 or later)
