Job Summary
Conduct daily practice sessions and manage student athletes in adherence to State of Michigan and Onsted Community Schools eligibility requirements. Select and train student managers, issue and collect school-owned athletic equipment, and provide athlete awards per the established schedule. Collaborate with the Athletic Director and Principal to determine practice and competition schedules, while submitting team member lists and disciplinary action reports promptly. Submit proof of athletic training rules agreement before the first practice and request approval for any parent helpers.
Required Qualifications
- experience as a player in the sport to be coached
- knowledge of coaching techniques and coaching psychology
- basic knowledge of first aid and training techniques
- excellent character
- willingness to work cooperatively in all aspects of the interscholastic athletic program
