Job Summary

Lead market intelligence and competitive analysis across the COA market by tracking competitor offerings, pricing, positioning, regulatory developments, and clinical trial patterns. Analyse Wiley's COA portfolio against external demand signals to identify underleveraged assets, portfolio gaps, and opportunities for acquisition or repositioning. Translate these findings into clear recommendations that inform product roadmap decisions, instrument prioritisation, partnership targeting, and commercial positioning. Build and maintain scalable datasets, dashboards, and AI-assisted workflows that support ongoing intelligence work while benchmarking competitor pricing to support structuring and positioning decisions. Partner across IP, Licensing, Product Delivery, Commercial, and Scientific teams to ensure insights drive business decisions and surface emerging market signals.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in product management, market intelligence, business analysis, commissioning, research or a comparable analytical and commercially oriented role
  • some experience in publishing, healthcare, life sciences or a research-adjacent environment
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience working with structured and unstructured data, querying public datasets and synthesising disparate sources into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Hands-on capability with technical tooling, including SQL, Python or equivalent
  • working fluency in AI-assisted analytical workflows
  • judgement about where AI-assisted analytical workflows add value
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as life sciences, data science, business, economics, social sciences or humanities
  • Track record of translating analysis into clear, defensible recommendations for senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrable curiosity and self-direction
