Job Summary
Implement and supervise all daily activities for youth to foster social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth in a safe, well-organized environment. Assist in planning and executing lesson plans tailored to children's needs while maintaining strict safety protocols, including proper sign-in/out procedures and immediate reporting of accidents or abuse suspicions. Manage child development supplies and equipment quality, perform regular housekeeping chores, and participate in member retention, special events, and fundraising. Complete all required paperwork, stay updated on emergency procedures and policies, and adhere to a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16 years or older
- CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- AED certification
- Child Abuse Prevention training
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be willing to work an on-call schedule rotation as required
- Must exhibit patience and understanding
- Must be alert at all times, keeping safety in mind
- Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor environment and children's well-being
- Must be capable of working under pressure in a somewhat disruptive environment
- Must complete a successful employment verification and background screening, which includes a DCF Level 2 Background Check
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of childcare experience preferred
