Job Summary
Implement and supervise daily activities for youth to foster social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth in a safe, well-organized environment. Assist in planning and executing lesson plans tailored to children's needs while ensuring proper sign-in/out procedures and maintaining high-quality supplies and equipment. Report accidents, suspicious behaviors, and policy violations immediately, adhering to mandated child abuse reporting requirements and emergency protocols. Manage high-risk activities, complete all paperwork, and share housekeeping duties including cleaning and project setup. Maintain a safe, healthy environment through active supervision and alert monitoring of children's well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16 years or older
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
- Child Abuse Prevention training
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be willing to work an on-call schedule rotation as required
- Must exhibit patience and understanding
- Must be alert at all times, keeping safety in mind
- Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor environment and children's well-being
- Must be capable of working under pressure in a somewhat disruptive environment
- Must complete a successful employment verification and background screening, which includes a DCF Level 2 Background Check
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of childcare experience preferred
