Job Summary
Support police officers responding to behavioral health calls by communicating safety information and providing on-scene crisis assessments once the scene is secure. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, identify diagnoses for substance use or mental health disorders, and evaluate suicide risk. Coordinate referrals, interpret diagnosis data for officers and families, and facilitate warm handoffs to treatment facilities. Manage internal case management by coordinating follow-up services across individual, group, and medical programs. Provide community outreach to individuals and families needing resources and complete required clinical documentation and training.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university
- eligibility to be licensed in the state of Georgia
- two years of supervised experience in assignment
- Full Licensure and/or certification in one or more counseling, or social work fields
- associate license with any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
