Job Summary
Co-op Student or Intern to join BDO's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Capital Markets team in Toronto from September to December 2026. Responsibilities include preparing pitch-books and presentation documents for business development, conducting market/industry/company research, compiling lists of potential buyers and acquisition targets, drafting marketing materials (e.g., Confidential Information Memorandums), performing financial analyses and modelling, and participating in due diligence processes. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality work, collaboration, and leveraging digital tools to support client engagements, with a flexible, blended in-office/virtual work arrangement. Earn CPA designation support is provided along with study leave and exam-fee reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a post-secondary business program with emphasis in accounting or finance
- Strong interest in Mergers and Acquisitions
- Excellent attention to detail with ability to perform analytical work under time pressure
- Developed communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
- A strong aptitude for Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities with varying deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced deals environment
