Job Summary
Co-op or Intern, Cyber Cloud Security at BDO Canada supporting the Cyber Cloud Security delivery team. Responsibilities include reviewing infrastructure design (on-premise and cloud) across security architectures, supporting cloud security engagements through all lifecycle phases, developing and maintaining cloud security documentation (policies, standards, baselines, procedures), collaborating with AWS/Azure/GCP and security vendors, researching cloud technology trends and threats, reviewing security events and risks, and authoring detailed reports for technical and non-technical audiences. The role emphasizes learning and professional development, client impact on Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability, and participation in a blended model of in-office, client site, and virtual work. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with risk assessments/compliance (NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2), SOC concepts and tools (SIEM, EDR), cloud security engineering (AWS/Azure/GCP), Zero Trust principles, and AI/ML-driven threat detection tools.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security or related technology-centric path
- Demonstrated interest and dedication to the Cyber Security career path shown through related extracurricular activities
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to create clear and concise technical reports, documentation and presentations
