Job Summary
Co-op Mechanical Engineering Special Projects: drive and contribute to a range of special projects for E Ink’s products including Advanced Color ePaper, Prism, dynamic windows, autonomous tiles, and customer demos. Responsibilities include creating engineering samples and prototypes for customers, testing and providing samples for strategic partners, contributing to marketing showcases, and setting up the special projects lab. candidate should envision abstract concepts, convert ideas into designs aligned with stakeholder needs, solve complex problems using creative design processes, manipulate design elements to convey intended meaning, and communicate effectively within small, multi-disciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Student enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or similar Engineering or Product Design Program
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software
- Ability to document new processes for future use by manufacturing
- Ability to manage challenging and often open-ended problems, work autonomously and in groups and able to multi-task in an agile environment
- Self-starter, ability to drive progress with minimum oversight
- Excellent communication skills: visual, verbal and written
