Job Summary
Review and update construction schedules, maintain shop drawings and as-built documents, and track RFI status for the new Surrey hospital and BC Cancer Centre project. Conduct quality control inspections, report accurate labour and material quantities, and resolve conflicts in structural, architectural, and mechanical drawings. Interpret plans and specifications for contractors while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and codes. Work on-site in Surrey, BC, with a 4-month term available for the Fall or Winter semester. This role offers hands-on exposure to project management and field operations with EllisDon Corporation, with potential for full-time employment following graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Currently studying in the field of Engineering or Project Management
- Must be enrolled in a recognized College or University Co-op or Internship Program
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation
- Must be available to work on-site in Surrey, BC
- Available to start for the Fall or Winter semester
- Available for a 4-month Co-op term
- Candidates must self-identify as an Indigenous person within their application materials
