Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •1 to 3+ years of experience in social work, communication, criminal justice, political science, or similar human service area
• •Clearance of background
• •Must have own transportation to work site, valid driver's license, and insurance on motor vehicle in accordance with state law and agency requirements
• •A working knowledge of the criminal justice system, court system and procedures
• •Knowledge of mental illness (e.g., addiction, alcoholism, and pharmacology and effective treatment techniques)
• •Knowledge of presentation techniques and tools
• •Knowledge of COOP programming
• •Knowledge of community resources that offer mental health treatment and counseling (e.g., community resources that offer substance abuse treatment and counseling)
• •Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; prepare written documents and reports (e.g., organize large spreadsheet and keep up with each participant's progress; communicate same to team in a timely manner)
• •Be able to interact with persons of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity toward cultural differences and respect for everyone
• •Possess maturity and judgment consistent with the high level of responsibility
• •Demonstrate capacity for teaching adults and older adults
• •Experience working with clients experiencing acute mental health
• •Experience working with clients living with substance use disorders
• •Demonstrate flexibility in position requirements
• •Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects while maintaining a perspective on long-term goals
• •Independence and self-confidence to act decisively and, at the same time, an ability to receive, integrate and translate others' ideas and suggestions
• •A hard working, positive, mission-driven and extroverted work style

• •Analytical skills, quantitative and qualitative
• •Intermediate computer, mobile device, and internet skills with knowledge of software programs including but not limited to: Windows and Microsoft Office Products

• •Must be able to sit over long periods of time
• •Must be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl climb stairs, lift and or move items of up to 25 pounds
• •Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• •Must have excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written
• •Must be able to manually operate and use a computer
• •Must be able to clearly hear and understand telephone conversations
• •All staff must be comfortable working in a trauma-informed environment and demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment when interacting with this population
