Job Summary

Conduct individual, group, and family counseling while providing crisis intervention and substance use disorder treatment for assigned clients. Perform comprehensive assessments to determine care placements and develop integrated treatment plans addressing co-occurring disorders. Coordinate case management by collaborating with external partners, assisting clients in accessing medical care, and maintaining detailed documentation. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and staff training while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a valid driver's license for agency vehicle use and current Substance Use Disorder Trainee certification.

Required Qualifications

  • BA Degree
  • SUDP Trainee
  • Entry level (no prior related work experience)
  • Current certification as a Substance Use Disorder Trainee
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years old
  • Successfully completing a motor vehicle history check
  • Possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington
  • Having reliable, insured transportation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field

Desired Qualifications

  • Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
  • Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, vocational services, or substance abuse treatment
  • Current certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health, including health care reform and automation of job tasks using computer technology
  • Maintain a working knowledge of mental health rehabilitation standards
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public
  • Communication - Communicates clearly and concisely
  • Computer skills - Ability to operate a personal computer, fax machine, printer, and copier proficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed productivity standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member
  • Able to assist in building positive working relationships with staff of all agency departments
