Job Summary
The Co-Manager is responsible for the hiring, training, and continuing development of the crew in the store, and assists the unit manager in operating and maintaining the store to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Key duties include building sales and profits through customer satisfaction, monitoring costs including crew prep, production, and procedures execution, tracking waste levels, communicating issues to the unit manager, and assisting in executing the store’s sales and profits plan. The role requires staffing leadership (hiring, training, termination, and cross-training), ensuring quality through crew performance feedback, monitoring service times and customer courtesy, enforcing cleanliness and safety standards, administering crew schedules and administrative tasks, maintaining inventory and cash/security controls, and mentoring crewmembers for leadership development. The posting emphasizes knowledge of Wendy’s operating systems, supervisory practices, interview and onboarding processes, adherence to health department guidelines, and the ability to manage shifts effectively and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in operations
- 1 year of line operations experience in the restaurant industry
- Ability to perform all restaurant operations positions/functions
- Valid driver’s license (per job requirements)
- Standing for long periods of time without a break
- Entering and leaving vehicle multiple times
- Physical inspections of all areas of restaurant
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Move and inspect all supplies in restaurant
- Work in hot and cold environments (restaurant, cooler, freezer)
- Mentoring crewmembers who express interest in leadership positions
- Experience managing shifts and crew performance
- Follows procedures outlined in Operations manual and company policies
