Co-Founder & CTO, New Venture: Battery-as-a-Service for Commercial Businesses

Co-Founder & CTO sought to define and execute the technology vision, build the EMS layer from scratch, and lead a high-caliber engineering team to deliver a scalable Battery-as-a-Service (BESS) platform for small to medium commercial facilities starting in Ontario, Canada. The role focuses on building the technology roadmap, guiding product direction, and translating software, hardware, and data modelling expertise into practical, high-impact solutions for grid services, peak shaving, and energy management. A significant equity stake accompanies the opportunity, with a venture-studio backed path and access to Diagram and Sagard’s network to accelerate company-building and fundraising. Responsibilities include assembling and inspiring an engineering organization, driving architecture and DevOps practices, and delivering a cohesive product strategy across software and hardware integration, cybersecurity, and data-centric modeling.
