Job Summary
Define and execute the technology vision for building the data pipeline and ML architecture from scratch. Transform multi-modal geoscience data into ranked targets, acquire properties, and run field validation to reduce uncertainty before drilling. Lead a high-caliber technical team across engineering, architecture, and data science functions to optimize discovery timelines and costs. This venture leverages Canada's deep public geoscience data infrastructure and federal subsidies to compress traditional exploration years into months. The team will address high failure rates and fragmented data by combining machine learning with traceable geological rationale.
Required Qualifications
- Seasoned technologist
- Track record of building scalable ML and data products end-to-end
- Experience building at the intersection of machine learning, data engineering, and complex, sparse, multi-modal datasets
- Experience hiring and leading strong technical teams across engineering, architecture, and data science functions
- Familiarity with earth sciences data (geology, geophysics, geochemistry, remote sensing)
