Job Summary

Coordinate tasks, assignments, and schedules based on work priority and workforce availability while assisting the Foreman in leading a high-performance crew. Monitor project progress from a time and budgetary standpoint, reviewing job specifications to determine materials, tools, and equipment needs prior to site arrival. Install products and services according to company standards, troubleshoot situations as needed, and safely load/unload materials and operate company vehicles. Mentor a crew of two or more, foster a positive team environment, and communicate with customers before, during, and after job completion to address changes. Ensure all final documentation is accurate and complete, while adhering to safety policies and workplace procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to motivate
  • Team player
  • Experience leading crews or small teams
  • Previous experience working in the construction or home services industry and/or trade work or general labor
  • Basic construction or mechanical knowledge
  • Valid, non-restrictive driver's license
  • Ability to Lift heavy objects up to 22 kg, and walks and stand for long periods of time
  • Performing strenuous labor often under adverse conditions
  • Good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
  • Ability to quickly move arms and legs
  • Excellent stamina
  • Seeing with the ability to read reports, data, statistics and information on computer screens
  • Ability to Lift heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects
  • Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Ability to effectively lift and carry heavy loads
  • Ability to safely and correctly load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to safely and correctly perform installation duties according to instructions, methods, standards and timetables
  • Ability to drive company vehicles in a safe manner
  • Ability to meet all requirements to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating work
  • Ability to account for labor hours and productivity
  • Ability to supervise, lead and mentor a crew of two or more people
  • Ability to lead crew in absence of Foreman
  • Ability to communicate with customer before, during and after completion of job
  • Ability to address any changes in the job prior to implementing changes
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork, check-in and check-out procedures
  • Knowledge of trade specific tools for installations and correct use and care of equipment
  • Ability to innovate and troubleshoot situations as needed based on requirements to complete the job to meet company standards and timetables
  • Ability to provide customers with superior quality and service while onsite performing work
  • Ability to ensure all final documentation is done completely/accurately and is given to the proper parties
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment by building strong relationships and inspiring mutual trust, professionalism, integrity, and respect
  • Ability to adhere to and promote Company workplace policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, the policies related to safety and against bullying, harassment, violence or discrimination in the workplace
