Job Summary
Co-Director — The Learning Experience, Graham WA. Lead day-to-day operations at a Graham, WA center with a clear path to Center Director within 6–12 months. Responsibilities include child safety compliance (DCYF licensing, proper ratios, secure drop-off/pick-up), building strong relationships with families, delivering LEAP curriculum and brand standards, fostering ownership and accountability in the team, growing the local community through partnerships and referrals, managing daily operations and SOPs, and overseeing financial stewardship (P&L, labor costs, tuition collection, and reporting). Requires WA Center Director eligibility, MERIT registration, DCYF background check, and 2+ years of teaching plus 6+ months of administration/management experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years in childcare/early education leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Must be approvable as a WA Center Director per WAC 110-300-0100 from day one
- ECE State Certificate or equivalent verified in MERIT, or credible plan to complete within five years
- Two years of teaching experience in a licensed early learning program
- At least six months of administration or management experience
- Active MERIT registration
- Cleared DCYF background check
- Preservice requirements complete or in progress per WAC 110-300-0105
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years in childcare or early education leadership; director or AD experience preferred
- Track record of building a center that families want to join and stay at
- Comfortable reading a P&L and managing labor cost
- Self-motivated and ownership-driven
- Willing to have hard conversations directly
