Job Summary
Co-Director of Community Engagement to lead the Department of Geriatric Medicine’s outreach efforts. Responsibilities include serving as Co-Director of Community Engagement, assessing community needs (housing insecurity, food security, behavioral health access, addictions), collaborating with local schools/education, community engagement and public health entities, representing the department on community boards/associations, managing projects (planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation), designing and implementing outreach programs for project stakeholders, coordinating activities including logistics and content development, and complying with legal requirements and company policies. Requires MD/DO with fellowship in Geriatric Medicine, Hawaii medical license or eligibility, and experience as core faculty in a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship. Skills: strong organizational/time management, excellent written/verbal communication, proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office, ability to work independently and in teams.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO medical degree from a medical school of recognized standing
- ACGME-accredited Geriatric Medicine fellowship program
- Current Hawaii medical license or eligibility to apply
- Experience as a core faculty in a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Training Program
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
