Job Summary
Greet customers with open-ended questions and listen intently to their needs while directing them to appropriate products and supplying technical assistance for selection, use, and installation. Perform sales counter functions including order entry, special orders, price lookups, and responding to telephone inquiries using CNRG point-of-sale systems. Merchandise products on shelves and fixtures, stock incoming inventory, and conduct cycle counts according to management schedules. Notify customers of new products and promotions, assist with loading purchased items, and maintain a clean, organized selling area. Submit instances of pricing errors or scanning issues via the CNRG Resource Center. Possess working knowledge of company security measures, remain vigilant against shoplifting, and follow all safety guidelines. This hourly, non-exempt position requires strong math and communication skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and basic knowledge of lumber or building materials.
Required Qualifications
- previous work experience dealing with retail sales or general customer service

- Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, or general hardware merchandise
- Must be able to lift and load merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. for various amounts of time
