Job Summary
CNN International World Sport Internship role in London. The intern will help identify and pitch interesting stories, book guests, assist with interview research and segments, and produce cross-platform content including writes and video edits for CNN.com. Responsibilities include flagging sports news stories, supporting reporters/writers/producers, building planning documents, sourcing images/footage for edits, and writing programming alerts; may write stories for CNN.com. Ideal candidate has broad knowledge of international sports (including US sports), can meet deadlines, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Skills emphasized include research, guest booking, storytelling, copywriting, and video editing (Adobe Premiere preferred). Hybrid working arrangement with in-office and remote participation in London, UK.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or postgraduate journalism degree (not essential)
- Ability to illustrate a portfolio of work/content (blogs, podcasts, YouTube channel)
- Working in team environments with deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Adobe Premiere experience (preferable)
