Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG trucks. Estimate time and material costs, respond to emergency service calls, and perform safety checks on vehicles. Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Assist senior mechanics on project work and review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Perform duties in both indoor garage and outdoor conditions involving lifting, pushing, and exposure to weather extremes. Work Monday through Friday, second shift from 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm, at a repair shop in Saginaw, MI. Support over 20 million customers across the USA with exceptional maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Ability to lift, push, pull, crouch, and climb
- Ability to stand, walk, and grasp
- Ability to sit and balance
- Ability to work in conditions involving cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals
- Ability to work in environments involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, heat, and humidity
- Ability to work in inside garage, shop, or gas plant conditions
- Ability to work in outside conditions including inclement weather
