Job Summary
Coordinate CNC vertical setup operations with the manager to ensure efficient job execution and determine shaping sequences while selecting appropriate tools. Follow specifications and travelers, then troubleshoot and correct problems with programs and machine setups. Apply lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and improve yields through corrective and preventive actions. Read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, and job orders to perform necessary calculations and modify stored programs. Maintain inventory of completed programs and train others in machine operation. Work 10-hour days, four days a week, earning pay based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and understand job orders, drawings/blueprints and other data and perform all the necessary calculations
- Experience with Fanuc controls, Haas
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Capable of meeting assigned deadlines
- Working knowledge of MRP processing
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
- Understand standard operating procedures to modify, store, maintain and transfer programs to maintain inventory of completed programs
- Ability to train others in machine operation
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years machining experience
- At least 2 years Setup experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
