CNC Technician

Job Summary
Conduct machine installation, debugging, trial operation, and first-piece machining while setting parameters and calibrating tools to meet precision requirements. Perform regular inspections of machine accuracy and spindle performance, analyze issues such as dimensional deviations and chatter, and optimize processes to improve efficiency. Execute routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and rust prevention while maintaining accurate records for traceability. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations and provide training on equipment operation and troubleshooting. Follow safety procedures strictly and handle shift or overtime as required in the workshop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, CNC Machining, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in CNC machining, machine setup, or precision manufacturing
- Familiar with CNC machines, machining processes, and precision equipment debugging
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and process documents
- Strong knowledge of machining parameters (cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut) and process optimization
- Experience with tool selection, fixture setup, and measurement instruments
- Familiar with common machining issues (chatter, tool wear, surface defects) and troubleshooting methods
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and equipment inspection
- Proficient in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work in a workshop/production environment and handle shift or overtime if required
- Knowledge of safety standards and ability to follow operational procedures strictly
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens)
- Basic English reading ability (for technical manuals)
