Job Summary
CNC Technical Support assists with new product programming and provides first-level technical support for CNC machines used to drill, grind, or mill parts. Responsibilities include monitoring machine operation, troubleshooting CNC machines and 3D printers, training CNC operators, calibrating machines, interpreting technical procedures and drawings, performing machine maintenance, and communicating repair status to Production Leads. The role requires reading blueprints/engineering drawings, basic CAD tools (Solid Works/AutoCAD), GCODE/ELUCAD basics, 3D printer usage for fixtures, and regular collaboration with production staff. Travel is approximately 15% between Quaker campuses for issues, training, or backups. The position is full-time with typical weekday hours and potential evening/weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings
- Proficient with hand tools and machinery required to maintain equipment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD – Computer-Aided Design software
- Ability to work with fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry mathematical concepts
- Understanding of CNC operation and basic programming concepts
- Experience with 3D printers and CNC machines
- Safety-focused and quality-focused mindset
