Job Summary
Operate CNC Swiss machines with live tooling capabilities, managing up to two units simultaneously while making offsets under Fanuc controls. Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and bore gages, and manually deburr components as needed. Resolve machining issues like tool wear to maintain tight tolerances of +/- .0002 and accurately record production data. Read blueprints and apply GD&T principles while strictly adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace. Work the 2nd shift from 4pm to 12:30am.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Post-Secondary Certificate - awarded for training completed after high school (for example, in Personnel Services, Engineering-related Technologies, NIMS, CNC Trades, Mechanics and Repairers, Precision Production Trades)
- At least 3 years of CNC Operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding of GD&T
- Familiarity with CNC Swiss machines and measuring equipment
- Strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to hold tolerances as tight as +/-.0002
- Must be able to operate up to 2 machines at a time
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, and talk to hear
- Occasionally required to bend and stop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience on Star Swiss Machines is a plus, but not required
