Job Summary
CNC Swiss Machinist on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 4pm-12am) responsible for setting up and running CNC Swiss multi-access lathes, performing set-ups (typically two per day), producing high-quality parts, maintaining safe and clean work area, keeping accurate labor records, and making programming adjustments to ensure dimensional and cosmetic quality. Requires reading blueprints and engineering orders, experience with G-codes, tight tolerances on small components, and proficiency with micrometers, calipers, drop gages, and optical comparator. Must have good mechanical ability, computer skills, and math skills; SPC/ISO 9001 knowledge and programming knowledge are a plus. Required Qualifications
- Previous CNC set-up experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, and all appropriate manuals/specifications
- Experience with G-codes, small components and tight tolerances is required
- Knowledge of measuring devices and their operation, e.g., micrometers, calipers, drop gages
- Good mechanical ability
- Operation of optical comparator
- Good computer skills
- Math skills
- SPC, ISO 9001
