CNC Setup Technician

Plan assignments, layout, and set up manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment. Operate machinery to cut and shape metal to precision dimensions using blueprints, process sheets, and sketches. Make tool adjustments, inspect machining operations against specified tolerances, and communicate with engineers regarding part assemblies. Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions while determining methods and procedures for new assignments independently. Act as a team leader or subject matter expert for the work area.
