Job Summary
CNC Setup Specialist: Set up CNC machines per job specifications by installing and aligning tooling, fixtures, and workholding; interpret engineering drawings and work orders to determine setup requirements and ensure quality compliance; perform trial runs and adjust machine parameters to optimize performance and product accuracy; collaborate with machinists, programmers, and quality control to troubleshoot setup-related issues; maintain detailed records of setups, tooling usage, and production data to support continuous improvement; apply knowledge of CNC tooling, control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens), CAD/CAM tools, and precision measurement to ensure high-quality output and efficient production.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in CNC machine setup within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with CNC tooling and fixtures.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation.
