Job Summary
CNC Setup Operator (1st Shift) is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Turning and/or Milling Centers to machine metal and polymer workpieces, reading programs, selecting appropriate tooling and workholding, loading tools, and ensuring parts meet blueprint specifications. Roles include monitoring operations, maintaining production efficiency, performing basic machine maintenance, completing quality and production control documentation, and communicating any unusual occurrences to leads. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3-5 years of CNC experience, ability to work English-language instructions and measurements in both English and metric units, and proficiency with gauges (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges) to verify tolerances and dimensions. The position operates during the 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:00 pm) in Delray Beach, FL, within a manufacturing environment focused on precision and quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to set up and operate CNC machining centers
- Read and understand English
- Proficiency with English and Metric units (conversion between them)
- Familiarity with gauges such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and thread gauges
