Job Summary
Set and operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce high-quality precision components to tight tolerances. Read engineering drawings, select and change tooling, make offsets, and adjust basic programs. Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment, maintain machine performance, and report issues while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This permanent, full-time day shift role offers overtime availability, a company pension, 28 days holiday, and free on-site parking. The client is an established manufacturer in Worcester expanding its machining team with training and career progression opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery
- Experience within a precision engineering environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings confidently
- Knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers and verniers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude
- A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a close-knit team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol or similar CNC controls
