Job Summary
Hands-on CNC Setter/Operator for a permanent day shift in a well-established precision engineering shop. You will set and operate CNC machines, adjust offsets and perform minor program edits, read and interpret engineering drawings, and produce precision components to tight tolerances. Duties include measuring with micrometers, verniers and gauges, conducting first-off and in-process inspections, ensuring machines run efficiently and safely, and maintaining a clean, organised work area to meet production targets and quality standards. Requires previous CNC setter/operator experience, ability to read drawings, and experience with aluminium, stainless steel or mild steel; strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic. The role offers a salary range of £28,000–£36,000 depending on experience, day shift, overtime opportunities, and training/development opportunities.
