Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC lathes to meet production requirements; load raw materials, monitor machining processes, inspect finished parts with micrometers and calipers, read engineering blueprints/CAD designs, verify tooling and parameters, and perform regular maintenance while following safety and 5S guidelines. Prepare and report production and quality data; demonstrate the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a CNC machine operator or in a similar role
- Ability to stand for extended periods on the production floor
- Maintain the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Pass blueprint and math assessments during the interview process
- History of longevity and internal promotion at previous employers
- Technical or vocational training in CNC machining (preferred)
