Job Summary
CNC Programmerresponsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for mills, lathes, routers, and other CNC equipment using CAM software; interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop machining processes; troubleshoot and prove-out programs on the production floor; collaborate with engineering and production to improve cycle times and reduce scrap; train operators on new programs and processes; participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives; ensure programs meet quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CAM software and CNC machine controls
- Strong understanding of G-Code, tooling, machining practices, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
- Experience with set up and operation of CNC machining centers and/or turning centers preferred
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office and ERP/MRP systems preferred
